Artists Madison Snell and London Perdomo invited 316 people to help create Thread by Thread, a nearly seven-foot tapestry inspired by Calgary’s Inglewood neighbourhood. Little Rock printed the banner, stickers, takeaway brochures, and final legend that helped them share the story behind the project at the 2026 InglewooDIY Festival.
"Hello! My name is Madison Snell, and I have been using Little Rock Printing for a few years now. Most recently, I used Little Rock to print a banner and other materials for a community art project in May of this year. This is in response to an email I received from Customer Support, in which I provide a story in exchange for $100 credit.
For the 2026 InglewooDIY Festival, London Perdomo and I created a community art project called Thread by Thread. Using a tabletop loom and yarn donated by STASH Lounge, we created a nearly 7ft long tapestry about the Inglewood neighbourhood. Over two pop-ups outside STASH Lounge, we asked 316 passersby about their relationship to the neighbourhood. Their answers determined the colour and length of yarn added to our tabletop loom tapestry. Together, we created an art piece that represents the vibrancy of the Inglewood neighbourhood in a burst of colour and texture.
We used Little Rock to print the banner, stickers, and a takeaway brochure with more information about Thread by Thread, including a take-home activity. We also used Little Rock to print the legend that accompanies the final tapestry. Little Rock helped us bring our vision to life.
We'd love to bring Thread by Thread to other neighbourhoods and community events, and now that we have our banner and other materials, our brand can stand out.
