Sundrops Academy

Calgary entrepreneur and spray tanning expert behind Sundrops Academy has turned more than 20 years of experience — from serving local clients to training makeup artists in Hollywood — into an online certification business for aspiring beauty professionals. Now, she’s looking to Little Rock for professional labels for the tanning solutions included in her certification packages, helping the products reflect the quality and credibility she’s built around the Sundrops brand.

"I introduced professional spray tanning to Calgary in 2004 and have since served more than 15,000 clients and performed approximately 45,000 spray tans. My work eventually took me from Calgary to Hollywood, where I trained makeup artists working at CBS, ABC and Sony on shows including Dancing with the Stars, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and 2 Broke Girls.

Cheri, the head of makeup and wardrobe for Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, also contacted me about using our tanning solution on Vanna White for her on-camera appearances. I later had the pleasure of meeting Vanna—one of the many unforgettable moments Sundrops has given me.

Another favourite memory appeared on Facebook today. I had just finished teaching the Dancing with the Stars makeup artists and was sitting at LAX when I received a call from New York about spray tanning the cast of Mamma Mia! 

Today, I’ve turned more than 20 years of experience into Sundrops Academy, an award-winning online spray tan certification company. We teach aspiring beauty professionals the art and science of spray tanning, along with how to build a successful business of their own.

I’m now preparing to have professional labels printed for the tanning solutions included in our certification packages, and I’m considering Little Rock Printing for the project. Beautiful, professional labels will help our products reflect the quality and credibility of the Sundrops brand."
