Calgary-based Savory Spoon Foods makes small-batch pasta and pizza sauces sold across local markets and Alberta grocery stores. Little Rock has printed their labels from the start, giving the young brand a polished, shelf-ready look. As they add new flavours and retailers, our reliable printing and easy label revisions help keep their growth moving.
"We're just about to hit our one-year mark, and this year our retail footprint has grown into Calgary Co-op, Sunterra, select Save-On-Foods locations, and a number of local independent grocery stores, alongside regular farmers' market sales.
Little Rock Printing has been our label printer through all of it, and that's mattered more than I expected going in. Every jar we sell has to carry fully bilingual, CFIA-compliant labelling — ingredient lists, allergen statements, nutrition facts in Canadian format, our Made in Alberta seal, and a set of claim badges (Vegan, Gluten-Free, No Sugar Added, No Preservatives Added), all laid out cleanly across a three-panel design. Getting that right, and getting it printed well, is what let us walk into stores with labels that looked like they belonged on a shelf next to established brands, not like a startup's first run. That professional first impression is a big part of why those retail conversations have gone as well as they have.
As we keep expanding into new stores across Alberta, having a printer who can keep up with new flavours and label revisions without slowing us down has made real growth possible. We've been happy enough with the service that we've referred fellow market vendors your way when they've needed a reliable label source — Wicked Good Sauces is one of them.
Thanks for everything so far"
