Vancouver artist Kattakind spends the workday in visual effects and animation, then switches to watercolours and a cast of cute critters after hours. Little Rock prints their popular Birds With Hats postcards, which now decorate walls and fridges in homes across Canada.
“I am a small business owner and artist from Vancouver, BC. During the day, I work in the visual effects and animation industry, having worked on titles such as Project Hail Mary, Lilo and Stitch and The Legend of Vox Machina. After work, I make watercolour art of cute critters that make me happy, under my artist alias “Kattakind”.
I love to go to conventions and sell at Artist Alleys. Especially postcards have been a huge hit with customers of all ages, all across Canada. People in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and many more cities, all seem to love my silly birds wearing funny hats. Your printing has allowed me to produce a lot of different designs, each double-sided and in beautiful vibrant colours. My customers post pictures to their instagram stories, putting my art up in their homes and it makes me happy that my birds now adorn the walls and fridges of hundreds of bird lovers.
