Julie Heinrich started JKH Watercolour while living in an RV during COVID and looking for a productive outlet for her creativity. When two people wanted the same original painting, Little Rock prints gave her a way to share it more than once. That first order sold out within a month, and Julie now regularly turns her artwork into prints and greeting cards.
“It was Covid, I was living in a RV, immunocompromised and work had come to a grinding halt. I started to go stir crazy in about a day, and decided I needed to focus on something productive before I went mad. I’d always painted and done a little social media for my local community association. I enrolled in what I now call YouTube university. Watching videos, painting things I’d always deemed too hard and trying new techniques.
Now I’m sure you can imagine it was a tight space and I needed to get rid of my paintings so I could build more. Here’s where my Instagram page comes in jkh.watercolour . People could now see all the things I’d been working on and building, then came my first dilemma. Two people I dearly loved wanted the same piece! How lucky could I be? But I didn’t want to paint what I’d already painted before… I’d been following @taytayski on Instagram and she raved about your products.
I submitted some images (photos I’d taken with my phone), they were the wrong size and format but you had a YouTube video for that too! All said and done I sold out of that first order in a month’s time and I’ve been reordering prints of my artwork ever since. My art has progressed as have those images I submit for prints and greeting cards. Always with your logo as well as mine on the back, ensuring those who are gifted a card know where to find more!”
