Designer Lena de Waal created 2nd Form Studio to give discarded textiles a new purpose through handbags and apparel. For her first collection, Little Rock printed the hang tags, stickers, and postcards that helped turn a new idea and logo into a tangible brand ready to meet its first customers.
About F Green Art
I make handbags and am currently working to develop my first apparel pieces for my next collection. The catch? All of my pieces are made from discarded textiles. Someone's torn jeans become a tote bag. Deadstock material from a designer becomes my line of loungewear. I do this because I am passionate about reducing textile waste in our landfills. Fast fashion contributes tonnes of waste that will most often not breakdown. Much of this waste gets burnt, releasing harmful chemicals into the environment, or it sits in a landfill someplace we can't see.
Little Rock was a massive part of my first collection. I printed hang tags, stickers, and postcards. These printables may seem small to a consumer, but to brand owners, they are what help build identity. I can't explain to you how exciting it was to see my logo on something tangible.
